Personal
e-Guidebook
Pacific Crest is pleased to announce that an electronic edition of
the Faculty Guidebook (FGB) is now available online for individual
faculty and staff. It is accessed through your web-browser, so there is
no software to install and you can link to it wherever you have Internet
access. With introductory pricing, the cost is only $39.95 and the current version is good
through January
2015.
Here are some of the unique features of this edition.
Dual navigation panels allow you to quickly access the related content
throughout the book. One is a traditional-style Table of Contents. The
other is our signature
Compass of Higher Education: every portion of that image is a clickable
gateway to related areas of content. Embedded within the Faculty Guidebook
text itself are links to relevant modules, references, figures, and
tables. In addition,
we have created a robust search feature that allows you to access FGB
content in a context-specific way. Imagine that you need to find or
present content in a faculty development context that relates directly to
a topic such as "Learner Development," "Measurement," or "Facilitation,"
and then imagine
being able to choose instantly from all related scholarship within the FGB
at the click of a button. In addition, our Author & Editor Bio-sketches
have been expanded to list and link to modules written by each individual.
Specialized terms are also highlighted in the text, allowing you to view
the Glossary definition of a word simply by hovering your cursor over it.
When you purchase the Personal e-Guidebook, you will receive a
registration key and password within 24 hours.
This is an HTML-only product and does not include
Adobe .pdf files. We strongly
recommend use of Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher. To use the full
functionality of the site, you will need to allow javascripts and pop-up
windows to run. For more information and to make sure the FGB-Light will
work for you, use the "Will it work for Me?" button at left. |
